Businesses and residents are begging for an upgrade to the Oxford Street Mall, supported by a vision, activation plan and marketing program. Over 50,000 people pass through the Mall every day so to beautify and invigorate this area should be a priority.

In 2015, a Vision for Bondi Junction was developed with thorough community consultation under the Liberals yet Labor/Greens have abandoned this Vision and the Mall remains neglected.

Zoned commercial, it could be a thriving open-air shopping plaza yet there’s poor design, a lack of cohesiveness and character, and no strategy or direction for investment in an upgrade.

The Waverley Liberals will ensure that the Oxford Street Mall is an attractive, flourishing destination for everyone to visit and a future showpiece for Waverley.
